Occupancy
Group bookings of more than two families/couples must be discussed and agreed by site owners in advance of booking.
At least one of the party members must be aged 25 yrs or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Noise and antisocial behaviour
This is a quiet site: strictly no amplified music is allowed in the campsite.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30pm and 8am.
The site owners reserve the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
Arrivals and departures
There is no reception on-site: on arrival, everyone must ring 07490 441449 to check in.
Camping check-in is 3-9pm.
Glamping and farmhouse check-in is 4-9pm.
No early check-ins available.
Your camping booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period owners reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals, or early departures.
Camping units will be allocated on arrival.
Refunds and Cancellations – Accommodation and camping
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 30% non-refundable deposit paid, minus 20% admin fee.
The 30% deposit can be used as credit if used within 6 months.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather.
We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses.
Refunds and Cancellations – Wild Spa
Our Wild Spa is a wood-fired spa that takes approximately 5 hours to prepare and is available once per day from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. Because of the time, wood, and labour required to prepare the spa, we operate a strict cancellation policy.
Cancellations
More than 72 hours before your booking
Full refund, option to reschedule, or a credit note to the value originally paid for the spa.
48–72 hours before your booking
50% refund, option to reschedule (subject to availability), or a credit note to the value originally paid for the spa.
Less than 48 hours before your booking
No refund will be issued.
Changes to Bookings
If you would like to change or reschedule your booking, this may be possible subject to availability.
A £15 administration fee applies to any booking changes.
Changes must be requested at least 48 hours before your booking time. Changes requested within 48 hours of the booking cannot be accommodated.
Credit Notes
Credit notes are issued to the value originally paid for the spa booking.
If spa prices increase in the future, any difference between the credit note value and the current spa price must be paid when rebooking.
No-Shows
If you do not attend your booked session, the booking will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be given.
Weather
The Wild Spa operates in most weather conditions. Refunds will only be issued if we cancel the session due to severe or unsafe weather.
Operator Cancellation
In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking (for example due to safety, weather, or technical issues), you will receive either:
a full refund,
the option to reschedule to another available date, or
a credit note to the value originally paid for the spa.
If spa prices increase in the future, any difference between the credit note value and the current spa price must be paid when rebooking.
By booking the Wild Spa, you agree to the terms of this cancellation policy.
Group bookings
Groups of more than three families or three couples and over 5 or more individuals must contact owner prior to booking to ensure that Cae Lal is the site for you and your party.
We only ever accept guests that are part of a group who have pre-booked. If guests arrive joining a group without permission, we reserve the right to require you to leave.
We operate on a respect basis. We expect all guests to respect other guests. If you wish to stay up late and chat, please do so quietly and respectfully. Sound travels far at night so please ensure your group are not being too loud.
The site owners reserve the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
We may ask for a damage waiver according to the size of your group and length of stay, to cover costs of issues such as leaving rubbish, damaging property, antisocial, drunken, or shouting behaviour and trespassing.
Facilities
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Designated area for smoking by the shed.
We are an eco-site and have a natural soak-away. Guest must use the biodegradable (we do supply unless you bring your own) as they are safe to be washed down into the ecosystem.
We encourage screen free time at Cae Lal to reconnect with nature and the outdoors. Wifi is not available.
Sockets available in the Y Sied for mobile devices only. Charging camping fridges is strictly not allowed in Y Sied.
We do not take any responsibility for devices left here unsupervised. Please ensure that your belongings are always secure and attended to.
Dogs
Maximum two dogs per camping pitch.
Maximum one dog in cabins.
Maximum two dogs in farmhouse.
Dogs under the age of 6 months are not accommodated in farmhouse, cabins and luxury tents.
Dogs must be kept on leads and always supervised.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
Owners must clean up after dogs every time and use biodegradable poo bags.
Dogs must be up to date with flea and worming treatments.
Dogs persistently barking will be asked to leave site.
Dogs must not be left in farmhouse/ glamping units unsupervised. Dogs are not to be left alone at any time.
Failure to comply with our dog policy may result in immediate dismissal from the site
Fire safety
Barbecue/gas cookers are permitted if well raised off the ground and always attended by an adult.
Strictly no disposable barbecues.
We only allow firepits and logs that have been hired and bought from Cae Lal. Anyone caught bringing their own firepit/logs will be ask to remove the pit.
Firepits only allowed in the meadow.
Firepits are not allowed in the lawn camping area.
Local dry kilned logs, kindling and eco firelighters must be purchased on site due to fire safety reasons.
Firepits in the meadow must be placed on the stone slab and always supervised by a responsible adult.
Foraging for woodfire on the land is not allowed.
Communal campfire may only by lit and supervised by a member of Cae Lal staff.
Barbeques are not to be used by in and around the communal area.
Health & Safety
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Guests must respect nature and its wilderness. All guests are responsible for their own safety here. Please be mindful of the environment and ensure that your actions do not harm the natural habitat. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the wild, but always stay vigilant and cautious.
Vehicles
Please drive slowly around the site – 5mph max. Children and dogs are around.
No cars/motorbikes are allowed by any pitch/unit.
All cars must be parked in the designated area.
Wheelbarrows available to help carry camping gear and luggage. Wheelbarrows must be returned straight after unloading.
We encourage eco-travel and on a mission to reduce carbon footprint. Consider public transport.
£10 per additional car/per night.
Visitors
Visitors are strictly not permitted on site unless it’s been pre-agreed with site owner.
A small day fee will be charged for those visitors wanting stay for a length of time.
Waste and recycling
As part of efforts to become a zero-waste nation and to reduce carbon emissions, the Welsh Government has introduced new workplace recycling regulations that will be effective from the 6th of April 2024.
The change means that every business, charity, and public sector organisation in Wales must separate the waste and recycling materials that they produce.
Failure to comply will result in a penalty, and consistent failure will result in us asking you to leave the site.
Keep single use plastic to a minimum.
If significant amount of waste is created, we may ask you to take your rubbish home with you.
Please help keep the place tidy and clean for other guests.
Strictly no broken or damage camping equipment are to be left on site – take them home please…including broken chairs and airbeds.
